Cindy wanted to change up the look of her entry way. She had an issue with a step that settled, and quite frankly needed more than just one step to begin with...
After!
...So we installed two steps for her, eliminating the giant leap she had to make on to her front porch. We also expanded the width of her walk. She now has a much safer and accessible entry way into her home!

A little about the name "Moonies"
Moonies origin..
The name Moonies originally came from my great Grandpa & Grandma Hixson. When I was just a little baby stumbling around, I had a really bad habit of wanting to show my behind... quite literally ha-ha! I would take that diaper off and run around like a bat out of hell. My grandparents would then yell out "Mooooooonie" and the whole house would be filled with laughter while I unapologetically dashed around showing off my bright smooth baby butt. Thus, was born my nickname "Moonie". With me being so young and always hearing them call me Moonie. I started calling them, Grandpa & Grandma Moonie. I genuinely thought that was their names. From that point on it snowballed into our entire family knowing them as & referring to them as... Grandpa & Grandma Moonie. "The Moonies".
Grandpa Moonie
Fred E. Hixson, my Great Grandpa Moonie passed on May 24th, 2024. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War & awarded the Purple Heart. As many of you may know, the Korean war was one of the nastiest battles in U.S. history. He was shot in the chest during battle at Heartbreak Ridge. After coming two, finding himself in a hospital room. Doctors explained to him that it was inches away from being a totally different scenario. During the war, he carried with him a miniature bible in his shirt pocket. They told him the bullet went through it and may be the very reason he was still alive. He also learned that he was the only survivor from the platoon he was in. The courage, bravery, & pure fight that my great grandpa had is the sole reason why I am able to sit here and tell his story today. I am forever grateful and blessed to be able to say he is my Grandpa Moonie..
